My five reasons to learn Russian:

To ask Stalin’s ghost where he stashed his WW2 gold

    Because of Russia’s booming economy

To tell people off anytime I want and get away with it

To be able to say: “Look! A bear on a unicycle!”

Because my friend Olga speaks it.

I encourage you all to shun naysayers, keep working hard to learn Russian you will never regret it.

If you will learn Russian, you will definitely benefit from it and most importantly – you will soon get rid of the mythical common stereotypes about Russia and Russian people by analysing their traditions, culture and appreciation of knowledge. To understand Russian culture is a very difficult task for Westerners, this exercise will enrich your common knowledge and give some understanding of how Russians think, behave and manifest themselves in our world. Russians, so far, were and still are one of the most politically powerful and scientifically genius nations in the world throughout the history. Good luck!
